Susan Fairbrook Playwright Fund

Susan Kay Fairbrook (1955-2021) was a fierce supporter and life-long lover of theatre.  This passion fueled a deep connection to new works where she used her voice and resources to support playwrights across the country as they worked to produce new plays and musicals. She served as a member of the TheatreWorks Board of Trustees from 2008 until 2018 and advocated to garner support around the company’s New Works Initiative.  

The Susan Fairbrook Playwright Fund has been established to fund and support new plays and musicals at TheatreWorks by up-and-coming playwrights.  This fund will help introduce the world to the types of exciting new works that Susan loved and supported.  Susan’s family and friends hope to raise $250,000 for the creation and development of up to ten new works, over the next five to ten years. We ask that you support this fund in Susan’s memory!
