Join trailblazing trans activist and powerhouse performer Shakina (NBC’s “Connecting...,” NBC’s “Quantum Leap,” Hulu’s “Difficult People”) for an evening of transcendent tunes, a dazzling dance party, and a sneak peek at the future of musical theatre! At this one-night-only benefit concert, she'll perform never-before-heard songs from her new musical 5 & Dime, based on the classic play (and later film) Come Back to the 5 & Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean and offer insight about her writing process. Following the show, don your dancing shoes for a Texas Honkytonk-themed after-party with drinks and music as TheatreWorks celebrates the Bay Area's vibrant LGBTQIA+ community.
